Biography
In 1995,Blakk,the vocalist of the band Angelkill whilst building a new line up for the band created a solo project called Mortuary Oath. This music was originally material that didn't quite fit the brutal style of Angelkill. Musically this music was more in the vein of the older metal sound as in the likes of Mercyful Fate and Candlemass but with a "deathlike" vocal style. All music was composed and recorded by Blakk with some help on guitar leads from Angelkill guitarist Jeff Olson.
In 1996 MORTUARY OATH released it's first debut album titled "Once Upon A Dreary..." .It was released by Majestic Union records in Germany. With the success and great responce with the debut Blakk started writing for the 2nd full length. With keeping busy with Angelkill it took a few years to finally complete. It would be titled "Whispers From Her Grave" which was released by Blakk himself. Again the responce was very favorable.
Presently Blakk is negotiating with various labels to release "Whispers From Her Grave" as well as the next album which will be titled "The Gravedigger's Tale"
